  • Total immersion of the grounds in the water results in rapid yet robust extraction of flavor
  • “Because of the lower temperature and short brew time, the acid level of the brew is much lower than conventional brewers.”
  • Micro-filtered coffee so pure and particle-free that it can be stored for days as a concentrate.
  • AeroPress is chamber is nearly self-cleaning. A 10-second rinse of the plunger is all that’s required.
  • “Compact, perfect for camping. includes 1 press, 1 funnel, 1 scoop, 1 Stirrer, and enough filters to last for 2 years!!”

The AeroPress is an entirely new way to make coffee, American style or Espresso style for use in lattes, cappucinos and other espresso based drinks. AeroPress brews simply delicious coffee, 1-4 cups per pressing. Ideal water temperature and faster brewing yields rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness. Other brewing processes use near boiling water and long exposure to coffee grounds. Quickly brew a variety of coffee drinks including an Americano or an espresso-style shot for use in lattes or cappuccinos. Its total-immersion system permits extraction at a moderate temperature and a short brew time. Water and grounds are mixed together for 10 seconds, then gentle air pressure pushes the mix through a micro-filter in just 20 seconds, which avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing. The air pressure also gently squeezes the last goodness from the grounds, further enriching the flavor. The total brewing time of only 30 seconds results in an exceptionally smooth brew.

Makes superb coffee, easy to clean and you get to join in on the mass circlejerk that is Aeropress users telling each other how great their coffee is.

This comes in a box that has a bazillion different quotes of people saying how amazing it is, but weirdly enough, it deserves all of that. It really is amazing. It’s simple, quick and incredible. My poor french press has been sat downstairs since I got this. Makes amazing coffee (I’ve also tried some weird teas in there, which was interesting and actually quite nice) and is ridiculously easy to clean. If you like coffee and you’re a lazy student like myself, get one of these, some good beans and a grinder. You will never look at coffeOnyl downsidee the same way again.

The device itself is rather curious: small, simple, durable.

The coffee it makes is nevertheless fast and super smooth, as long as you use the right temperature water. Second best coffee I’ve ever drunk, and seriously much better than anything you could get in this or any price group close by. Only downside is the consumption of coffee – a dose of espresso consumes way over a normal 7g measure of grind. You can’t go wrong with anything, since essential guides are printed on the device itself. After a few cups of experimenting, almost any decent coffee becomes heavenly.

    Just buy one.

I was looking for a replacement for my mocha pot and wanted the ability to make something other than a filter/caffetiere coffee. I looked at lots of espresso machines, but for a good one, they are very expensive.

This is superb. It takes 3-4 minutes start to finish for a coffee. No waiting for coffee to stand, no waiting 15 minutes for an espresso machine to warm up. And it takes 30 seconds to wash up.

And wow, what a cup of coffee. Its worth taking a few extra seconds to warm up the aeropress, and at the same time rinsing the filter, but this does only take a few seconds, as you are getting your coffee ready. It makes some good strong tasting espresso, as well as some longer drinks, depending on how much coffee, water, stand time you use. It takes a few goes to get it right, but well worth it, and I enjoy the ability to vary my drink depending on mood and time of day etc.

If you love coffee, you have to own this. Even better, its small enough, and doesnt require power, so you can take it on holiday with you!

Had this for 8 months now and would echo the other reviews here: great tasting coffee (if you follow the simple instructions), very quick to make and so easy to clean that it actually makes me smile every time I do it. When I received this as a gift, thought it would probably be something of a gimmick, but it’s now become my preferred way to make a brew. You will also enjoy showing off this clever little device to coffee loving friends. At it’s best for 1 – 2 cups of coffee at a go; larger rounds should be tackled in multiple batches, though given how fast it is to use, this doesn’t present too much of a problem.
